The program safeguards the history and lessons of 9/11 honoring, remembering and supporting those impacted.
Lockheed Martin has launched 25Forward, a five-year, $25 million initiative commemorating the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. The program is designed to safeguard history, underscoring Lockheed Martin’s ongoing commitment to deterrence while honoring those who protect the nation.
The centerpiece of 25Forward is a $10 million contribution to the Pentagon Memorial Visitor Education Center. While the launch of 25Forward aligned with the 25th anniversary of September 11, it is designed to serve as more than a single commemorative moment. Key elements of 25Forward include:
- Safeguard: Preserve history and connect it to the future of service and innovation.
- Serve: Support the long-term wellbeing of 9/11 responders and survivors, post-9/11 veterans and military/veteran caregivers.
- Sustain: Strengthen the organizations, communities and talent pipelines that will respond to future disasters and national needs.
Partnerships
Through partnerships with 11 organizations, 25Forward will safeguard stories and lessons of Sept. 11, as well as military service; serve survivors, first responders, veterans and military families; and sustain a spirit of service and preparedness by expanding opportunities for education, volunteerism and disaster readiness.
